evening snow with running spring

antelope valley ca 1992
This was my first encounter with night blooming evening snow. Only a few inches high and resembling dried grass, it's virtually invisible during the day. This wildflower only makes itself known around sunset, opening magically with a sweet fragrance similar to jasmine. The landscape here is typically wind blown and dry. A small spring full of watercress is running diagonal thru the frame.
