night flash - high desert 2001
At sunset this patch of evening snow opened like a magic white carpet on a distant hillside. I hiked towards it into a cold head wind. Stumbling around in the moonless desert night with coyotes yelping around me I eventually found it by the jasmine-like scent wafting downwind.
A digital Nikon 990 set for highest resolution with auto flash created this ethereal image similiar of viewing the sea floor covered with anemones.
