lupines poppies and cirrus     tejon ranch ca 1992 These are adonis lupines, a perenial that appears to take many years to mature. Some specimens grow to be 7 feet across by 4 feet high leaving me to speculate they must be many decades old. They have a slight bubble gum-like smell that permeates the desert air.
