It's amazing to watch the procession of color change as one hue dries up another starts to peak. In 2001 it was an above average show. I was lucky to catch the cows heading home 2 hours before sunset. Poppies usually close up hours before this time of day but with warm temperatures and little wind they stayed open late.
Find the fence then observe how grazing has a beneficial relationship to wild flowers by keeping exotic grasses in check.
