rock cathedral, owls clover and gilia

kernville ca 2003

Shot in the southern foothills of Sequoia National Forest, this cathedral of rock had a fascinating feel to it. Surrounded by the carpet of magenta Owls Clover and pink/ silver Davy Gilia it stands out with its mysterious beauty.

Moments before taking this a pair of California Condors circled over the knoll only to be chased off by a pack of Ravens before I could set up.
