setting sunlight on hill of poppies     high desert 1986 Taken my first year of "Feral Flowers", this scene captured my imagination and inspired me to start my seasonal quest for carpet blooms. California Poppies close up in low light or cold winds. Lucky to catch these partially closed in the fore while a setting sun lights the hillside in back. The shadow is from another hill off frame.
